Romney has been doing extremely well in recent polls, increasing support in national surveys and winning straw poll after straw poll, particularly in South Carolina. This could serve as an important bellwether, since South Carolina is a heavily Evangelical state, it could be an indication of how well Romney will poll among Conservative Christians.

POLL ALERT: Romney Support up by 71% in ARG Poll – Only Candidate to Increase Support
The latest ARG poll is out, and it shows Mitt Romney nearly doubling his support. Here are the results:
Rudy Giuliani – 27% (-7)
John McCain – 23% (-7)
Mitt Romney – 12% (+5)
Newt Gingrich – 10% (-2)
Fred Thompson – 9% (n/a)
