As you all know, President Bush announced his new Iraq Strategy on Wednesday night on nation television. The plan seems to be a slightly modified version of the AEI’s plan, on which I have written extensively about recently. I belevie this plan is our best hope for a victory in Iraq. Unfortunately, many Congressmen, including 15 Republicans, have come out against the plan. This is worrying, as they are opposing what could very well be the turning point in Iraq that, in the words of Ronald Reagan, condemns the insurgents “to the ash heap of history.”
Because of the views of these Republicans, I have launched an effort called Supporters of an American Victory in Iraq. This plan aims at getting Americans to contact the 15 Republican Senators and Representatives by fax, phone, and email to get them to change their stance. More information on how to participate can be found on the “Supporters of an American Victory in Iraq” page. The link is on my sidebar.
