He’s the man that makes prison life tough. He makes his prisoners wear pink underpants and eat bologna sandwiches. He is Sheriff Joe Arpaio, and he is now the honorary chair of Mitt Romney’s Arizona leadership team. Among the other people on the team are some major state fundraisers and PR people. This could prove a hit to McCain, who already appears to be loosing support to Romney.
Sheriff Joe, as he is called, made an interesting comment today, pointing out the Mitt Romney has the most experience when it comes to holding executive office. McCain has been in office longer (as has Giuliani, I beleive), but being a Senator or Mayor does not equal the position of Governor of a major U.S. state. I think Sheriff Joe has it right – Mitt is the best man for the job.
