When something is not working, you do not use it in more places. So, when the U.S. military decides to use the same new strategy in other parts of Iraq that they are currently using in Baghdad, that is pretty good evidence that the strategy is working.
The amazing thing is, even as the troop surge continues to reduce deaths, kill terrorists, and cause militias to disband, Democrats are still trying to find a way to stop it. It would be one thing if deaths had increased 50%, and the Democrats were simply trying to save lives, but the surge has had the total opposite effect. Deaths are down drastically, militias are dissolving, terrorists are running, and the Iraqi government is beginning to meet some crucial benchmarks in securing that country.
