I know I said I was finished with Rasmussen, and I am still not pleased with their decision to include Fred Thompson in their polls. However, business is business and Romney has posted a 4% gain in their latest poll. He is triling Thompson by 2% and McCain by 4%, Giuliani is still in the lead by a considerable margin, although he has fallen significantly from two weeks ago. Here is the poll:
Giuliani 27% – McCain 16% – F. Thompson 14% – Romney 12%
Romeny is doing well, posting significant gains in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. He is second in Michigan, and is leading in Utah and Massachusetts. He is the co-leader in New Hampshire, tied for first with John McCain, each with 25% of the vote. Romney is doing extremely well, and it appears that neither his Mormonism, his rightward shift, or his recent goof on hunting have hurt him. I will say it again, Mitt is the best man for the job.
