Mitt Romney is in a two-way tie for first in New Hampshire, is only 4 points behind in Iowa, and is now in a statistical tie for first in South Carolina. He has come out 4% off the lead in South Carolina, but within the margin of error, making it a statistical tie. This poll has the same amount of support for Romney as a recent FOX NEWS poll, suggesting that the results are accurate. It appears that Romney is indeed able to overcome concerns about his religion (even in a hugely Conservative Evangelical state) and past support for abortion. I have lost count of the number of wins Mitt has in polls, so clearly he has momentum and growing support.
I will also say the Fred Thompson came in fifth with 9% support, 9% off the lead, and 5% behind Romney.
