In his recent “formal” announcement of his candidacy, John McCain said that he was “the most experienced candidate.” I guess this is true, but it depends on what you consider experience. While McCain has been in politics much longer, I think Romney is the more experienced candidate. With his turnarounds of Massachusetts, the Olympics, and Bain & Co., he has proved himself to be an economic reformer and a real leader. His accomplishments in these positions, as well as his own business, make him the unrivaled, most expoerienced candidate running for the Republican nomination. McCain may have been in government longer, but when it comes to experience, its quality, not quanity, that counts.
