Rasmussen Update: Romney Steady at 14%

It looks like Romney’s support has once again leveled out at 14%. This is confirmed not only in the daily Rasmussen tracker, but also by other polls that have come out. Romney generally polls lower among those not registered as Republicans, and those not likely to vote in the primary. As we get closer to Ames (this Saturday) and the fall debates, I expect Romney to increase furter in the coming weeks. Here is today’s poll:

Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll – August 7, 2007

Rudy Giuliani – 25%
Fred Thompson – 25%
Mitt Romney – 14%
John McCain – 12%

Some other numbers that I have seen, but can’t confirm, show that 41% of Republican don’t know that Rudy Giuliani supports abortion. Like I said, I can’t confirm the numbers, but, if true, they could mean rough times ahead for Giuliani. I don’t see his numbers remaining as strong as they currently are once his abortion position becomes fully known.
