Romney Now Tied For Lead Nationally

Finally, after more than nine months of hard work, focusing on early states, and touting the experience and leadership of our candidate, Romney supports have succeded in helping Romney take the lead in the critical first states, and now, nationally. As the rise and fall of the Giuliani campaign has shown, in terms of actual effect, national polls mean very little. However, that doesn’t mean it isn’t nice to see hard work paying off in unexpected ways. The latest NBC/WSJ poll:

NBC/WSJ GOP Primay – December 19, 2007

  • Rudy Giuliani 20% (33%)
  • Mitt Romney 20% (11%)
  • Mike Huckabee 17% (8%)
  • John McCain 14% (16%)
  • Fred Thompson 11% (15%)
  • Ron Paul 4% (4%)
  • Duncan Hunter 2% (2%)
  • Tom Tancredo 1% (2%)
  • Not Sure 9% (7%)
