John McCain’s core support group consists of older, more moderate voters. These two groups are not exactly known for their internet proficiency or involvement. So When AOL’s straw poll shows McCain winning in all fifty states – something that even Ronald Reagan couldn’t do, I’m more than a little suspicious. Obama’s key supporters – young liberals – usually dominate the internet, so why aren’t they turning out in higher numbers for their guy in online polls?
I don’t have a clue whats going on, but either internet dominance is changing, or we should be able to throw every professional polling firm into the ash heap in November.
